I1) Overview

Welcome to jchristopher.art, operated by J. Christopher Studios (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or purchasing from the Site, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Heads up: Originals and limited editions are often one-of-a-kind or small-batch. Minor variations in color/texture are normal and part of the artwork’s character.

2) Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority in your location) to purchase. You’re responsible for safeguarding any account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3) Intellectual Property & License

All content and artworks on the Site—including images, text, graphics, logos, and designs—are owned by or licensed to J. Christopher Studios and protected by copyright and other IP laws.

Personal use only: Purchasing an original or print transfers ownership of the physical object only, not copyright.

No commercial use: You may not reproduce, resell, license, create derivatives, mint NFTs, or otherwise commercially exploit any artwork without our written permission.

Social sharing: You may post our work to social media for personal, noncommercial sharing with credit to [@jchrxstopher] and [jchristopher.art], no modifications.

4) Orders, Pricing & Payment

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders, limit quantities, and correct errors. Prices are shown in USD unless stated otherwise and may change without notice.

Taxes: Applicable sales/use taxes are added at checkout based on the delivery address.

Payments: We accept major credit/debit cards and may use third-party processors. By paying, you authorize us and our processor to charge your selected method.

Chargebacks: Please contact us first to resolve issues; unwarranted chargebacks may result in account restriction.

5) Shipping, Delivery & Risk

We ship to the address you provide. Title and risk of loss transfer when the carrier takes possession. Delivery timelines are estimates and not guaranteed. International buyers are responsible for customs, duties, and import fees.

6) Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Because of the nature of fine art:

Final sale: Originals, commissions, and limited-edition prints are typically final sale.

Damaged in transit: If your item arrives damaged, email [art.jchristopher@outlook.com] within 7 days with order number, photos of the packaging/artwork, and a description. We’ll offer a replacement (if available) or a refund.

Color variance: Screen-to-print color differences are not defects.

7) Commissions & Pre-Orders

Commission timelines and scopes are confirmed in writing. Deposits are typically non-refundable once materials or work begin. Pre-order ETAs are estimates; delays may occur (we’ll keep you posted).

8) Digital Products

Licenses for digital downloads are non-transferable and for personal use only unless expressly stated otherwise. No redistribution, resale, or AI training use.

9) User Content

If you submit reviews, comments, or messages, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and reproduce that content for Site and promotional purposes. Do not post unlawful, hateful, infringing, or spam content.

10) Prohibited Uses

You may not: (a) tamper with the Site; (b) scrape or use bots; (c) attempt to reverse engineer Site software; (d) infringe others’ rights; (e) use the Site for unlawful purposes.

11) Third-Party Services

We may link to or rely on third-party services (payments, analytics, email). They operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

12) Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied (including merchantability, fitness, non-infringement).

13) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, J. Christopher Studios and our affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits/revenue/data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

14) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party right.

15) Governing Law; Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California (without regard to conflicts of law).

Dispute process: Please contact [art.jchristopher@outlook.com] to try to resolve informally. If unresolved, disputes shall be brought in state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. You and we waive any right to a jury trial and agree to proceed on an individual basis (no class actions).

16) Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
